I purchased two reeds from Colorado Reeds, a professional and an intermediate that I wanted to use just for practice purposes. I will never order anything from Colorado Reeds again. The intermediate was so open as to be almost unplayable. My teacher had to put a wire around it to close it. She also had to adjust it more than any other reed I have ever had. The professional was better but it is stuffy and has a very uneven tone. I can do much, much better from other reed makers for the same price.

Hi all - just wanted to let everyone know that I've moved recently. I'm no longer in Denver, but am now located in Knoxville, TN. Don't worry, I'm still making reeds and running the business! The only thing that has changed is my altitude - which is now MUCH friendlier for making reeds. Any questions, let me know.

Very good reeds, however i found that when i tried to play higher notes seemed to thin and the players around me felt it too. Also the A flat-B natural mid range notes seemed to have a leak on mine

These reeds intonate very well and were enjoyable to play on-- I ordered med-soft and they were perfect. The reeds have lasted for quite a while even w/ practicing ~ 5x/wk. A+ I will order from Jennifer again!

Only tried once, weren't substantial enough for me. Probably very good for a less demanding playing schedule.

I simply love Jennifer's reeds. The tone and intonation of her reeds are such a huge upgrade for any oboist searching for great oboe and english horn reeds. They are so consistently good and dependable, and have incredibly reasonable prices compared to her counterparts. She is also loyal to her refund policies, and works for the customer, not just for the money :D

Jennifer's reeds are wounderful. I used it for my ABRSM exam, and finally the English man gave me a comment which he enjoy the sound of my oboe. Also, my reeds usually success with using Jennifer's cane. Highly recommend to all, from beginner to professional~
